Today I am praying that the joy of the Lord will be evident in your life and on your face. Happiness is often based on the circumstances in your life; however, your joy comes from knowing God and allowing Him to be in control of your life.
Once you have the joy that comes from knowing God, peace will begin to reign in your heart and your mind. You will develop a steadfast, solid faith that comes from knowing God is good and He is faithful to see you through all things, no matter what may come your way.
Many Bible verses speak words of joy. Here are a few of my favorites:
Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11 (Jesus is speaking here and you really need to read all of chapter 15 to see the things He spoke about that will make your joy complete.)
Here are just a few from the book of Psalm, which contains many verses about joy:
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5
Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises. Psalm 98:4
March forth today and let your joy shine forth to those around you.
Be a blessing,
